NOLS Rocky Mountain brought extra adventure to Lander Valley High School freshman
orientation in this week.
Lander, Wyo. — This past weekend
the International Climbers’ Festival took place in beautiful City Park in
Lander Wyo. In its 20th year, the festival is the longest-running
climbing festival in the world.
My internship here at the National Outdoor Leadership School has been better than I could have ever expected. I have been given many opportunities to grow in more ways than just working at my desk. I do get the chance to develop my skills on normal public relations tasks including writing press releases. I have been sending out press releases about students who complete NOLS courses, and I’ve been getting published. I also have been working on social media postings on the NOLS blog about interesting stories and topics.Read More

The second annual NOLS Faculty Summit kicked off today, with clinics up and down Sinks Canyon outside Lander. Both the river crossing clinic and rock rescue clinic kicked off early in the morning, and the afternoon included a Tyrolean traverse clinic.Read More
As the NOLS community around the world is preparing for the Second Annual NOLS Faculty Summit, Central Wyoming College is preparing for an outdoor education experience of the literary persuasion. The college is currently accepting registration for the first Wind River Outdoor Writers Conference.Read More

They brought the cameras along with Chris Marley, NOLS Rocky Mountain employee and Semester in the Rockies grad, as he tries to bag his latest bouldering project, War Tactics.
