From all of the expatriats here at NOLS Patagonia, we wish everyone a lovely and happy Thanksgiving filled with festivities, friends, family, and food. With most of our courses still out on the trail or on the water, some In-Town staff got together to celebrate the holiday at our home away from home.
We had four nationalities represented: United States, Chile, New Zealand, and Sweden! We spent the evening cooking up massive amounts of food and then enjoyed our food coma around the table in good company. At the table there was rosemary roasted chicken, fresh baked bread, lemon garlic peas, baked cheesey potatoes, ensalada chilena, apple cranberry stuffing, mushroom based gravy, roasted honeyed carrots, crumbly apple crisp, and pumpkin pie made from a can someone was saving for over nine months! Now that's dedication.
For many, Thanksgiving represents the start of the holiday season, and for us at NOLS Patagonia it is the beginning of peak summer season. All seven courses are due back within the next few weeks, so we gladly took this opportunity to relax before the next wave of students and instructors come through the campo.
We are thankful for the hardworking students, the stellar instructor teams, the glorious mountains and water, and good weather. Again, wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving with lots to be thankful for.
